For some pictures, please check out our Flickr page!

Our Annual Seminar took place on

Tuesday, 22nd February 2011

at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8

9am-4.40pm

About the Seminar

  • How can you raise the profile of your library or information service?
  • How do you utilise the most appropriate tools and technologies to increase the relevancy and efficiency of your information service?
  • How do you develop a better understanding of your clients’ information needs?
  • How do you build relations with internal stakeholders?

In today’s difficult economy it is more essential than ever for librarians to provide pertinent services to users, understand the competition and remain relevant. As budgets decrease, how do we demonstrate the added value of our information outputs? Our speakers explored these challenges and provided you with practical examples of how to promote your library and information service to become the information provider of choice within your organisation.

The seminar included two key speakers: Lesley Robinson and Phil Bradley. The day also featured four case studies from academic, corporate and health libraries; with speakers from NUI Galway, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the HSE.
