Fail Better: Lessons Lived, Lessons Learnt
Friday 9th, March 2018
National Gallery of Ireland, Merrion Square West, Dublin 2
"Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better."  Samuel Beckett
THEME: Fail Better: Lessons Lived, Lessons Learnt
Last year we heard about communities and the social role that librarians play in them. This year we attempt to break the stigma of failure within those communities and take a look at how failure needn’t be a dirty word. We hope to explore the instructive and generative capacity of failure with our delegates, and tease out how its acceptance within an organisation can prove beneficial.
We will hear from colleagues working in small and large libraries how they have coped with the challenges they have faced.
In the evening we will be hosting a reception in a pub nearby.
