Seminars on Attaining a Library Association of Ireland (LAI) Award

Title: Developing as a Professional: Attaining a Library Association of Ireland (LAI) Award

Description: These half-day seminars, which are certified by the Library Association of Ireland (LAI)  provided an insight into the awards of Associateship of the Library Association of Ireland (ALAI) and Fellowship of the Library Association of Ireland (FLAI).  Past recipients of the awards shared their experiences and gave insights into the preparation of a portfolio and other aspects of the process.  The mentoring scheme available to applicants was outlined and there was also an opportunity for mentors and those who have an interest in mentoring, to learn about best practice in mentoring.

These events were organised by the LAI  Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee.

Presentations from the events are available here.
