The Library Association of Ireland is looking to fill the exciting position of Joint Meetings Secretary.
The post-holder must be available on 7 – 8 days year to attend meetings of the LAI Council and the Management Committee. Please note that meetings are likely be held remotely using videoconferencing for the immediate future due to the current pandemic. Some additional time will be required outside of the meetings to prepare agendas and write up minutes etc.
There is no formal job description but the main duties will be similar to those outlined in the attachment.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Association, participate in its decision-making, make useful contacts, gain new skills and add valuable experience to your CV. It should appeal to members who are recent entrants to the profession as well as those who are more established.
The post is voluntary but out-of-pocket expenses may be reimbursed.
